Upcycling, késako ?

On:

The "franglais" fashion does not escape decoration and ecology. Here is the proof with this new word: Upcycling or overcycling. In addition to being trendy, this movement is a new way of consuming. A new way to buy and furnish.

.

Let's all do our best to preserve our common home!

.

Where does upcycling come from?

.

Basically, reusing old objects, old clothes or damaged furniture was not a trend, but rather a necessity.

Indeed, it was for the most modest families, a way to obtain new things by recycling and without spending anything, or almost.

And while this method is time-tested, it requires serious thought when trying to achieve responsible upcycling.

.

.

How to proceed ?

.

If you want to follow the movement, nothing could be simpler.

At present, with all the networks, videos and books present on the subject, you can easily find a new use for your old things.

To start, you have to choose your base carefully. At some point, the t-shirt you've had since high school can't end up in anything other than rag (upcycling anyway?).

Once the base has been chosen, you can study what to transform it into. So that its use is practical and intelligent.

.

.

Example of successful upcycling

.

Take an old rectangular cheese oar, made a wooden base by integrating a socket.

Customize the base according to your taste and your decoration. Place the oar on the base, fixing it either with brackets or stops in each corner.

Don't forget the cable with switch to turn the lamp on or off. And in no time you would have upgraded your old cheese ream into a stylish but useful object!

The purpose of up-cycling is to actually reuse this object on a daily basis. That its transformation is not only for the purpose of decoration.
