A Story of Passion, Family, and Legacy
I’m Mr. Austoni, founder of Iron Wood Design.
The company was born in a small workshop in southern France, driven by a love for raw materials and quality craftsmanship.
Without flashy advertising, solely by word of mouth, our creations have found their way to clients in Monaco, Paris, Saint-Tropez, Serre Chevalier, and even further: Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands…

I’m often described as a creator with golden hands — a craftsman-artist.
I receive that with humility. My sole focus remains unchanged: to create with passion and fully satisfy every customer.
Rooted Craftsmanship
It all started in my father’s workshop — a master blacksmith — where I learned to weld at age 11.
After an initial career in automotive painting, I chose the path of freedom: to create, to assemble, to bring unique furniture to life by blending iron and wood.
With my brother at my side, overseeing strategy and digital development, we’ve built Iron Wood Design as a family-run business grounded in strong values: quality, authenticity, respect, and legacy.
Local, Responsible, 100% French Craftsmanship
At Iron Wood Design, everything is made in our own workshop, with no outsourcing, and with full respect for the environment and materials.
- Solid wood (oak, ash, walnut, larch, driftwood) is sourced directly from a trusted local supplier we’ve worked with from the start:
Mr. Vecchini, now retired, passed the torch to his successor under the name Gedibois — with whom we still collaborate.
It’s 100% French wood, carefully selected for its quality. - Raw metal, also locally sourced, is skillfully worked in-house.
Each piece is made to last, with a sustainable and responsible mindset.

- In Europe, delivery is also free, with a small customs fee depending on the country
- For signature pieces like the Dayton XXL or Santorin, hand delivery is ensured — with the same care as the creation process
